2/20/12: Referendum Supporters vandalize and deface signs AGAIN!
Just 1 day before the election, the signs were vadalized AGAIN. This time, the Hennepin County
crime lab was called and was able to collect evidence at the scene. Tampering with political
signs is a felony, and those responsible WILL be procecuted. It is a sad comment that supporters
of this referendum have AGAIN resorted to this. They might notice that all of their signs have
not been touched. I guess they don't teach RESPECTFUL DISCOURSE in their failing schools.
2/8/12: Referendum Supporters vandalize and deface signs
Just 2 days after signs were erected, they were vadalized. We are told the authories have
been called and those responsible will be charged. The penalties for tampering with politcal
material are significant. It is a sad comment that supporters
of this referendum can not seem to justify their position and therefore have to resort to this.
1/31/12: "Invite Only" meeting set up by school officials
A RSVP meeting (that can only be respsoned to by parents of school children) has been called by the school.
This meeting was sent by private emails to school parents only. I suppose they figure they are the ones most
likely to support this. Since this is a meeting in a public facility about a public vote, any tax payer in the
district should have the right to attend this meeting. They certainly COULD have announced this meeting on one
of the two official mailings from the school. I wonder why they chose not to?
